Scope is good for higher velocity, "marksman" airsoft. Helps the shooter see the pellet and allows adjustment for the imminent wacky flight. thank you, considering that with all the upgrades i intend to get... it will be able to hit something at 200 feet, but isn't it a nicety to be able to look through a scope and hit them right between the eyes, or to be able to tell what kind of weapon the have from a distance, without fishing through your pack for a pair of binoculars?

if you're using an aeg or a sub-gas gun just stick with the red dot. get a decent one and you can have adjusted to where it generally hits.

YEAH BUT HERES THE THING, I'M GETTING A WHOLE SHIT LOAD OF UPGRADES THIS SUMMER, MY GUN SHOULD BE HITTING TARGETS AT 200 FEET, SO I'M PROBABLY GONNA GO WITH JUST A BASIC 4X SCOPE, NOTHING TO EXTRAVAGANT. RED DOTS DON'T WORK AS WELL, THEY ARE GREAT FOR CLOSER SNIPING(TRUST ME, ITS SO FRIGGING EASY WITH THE GHILLIE) BUT FROM 200 FEET, I NEED ALL THE ACCURACY I CAN GET U NO

What kind of mods? I would go with a high torque setup to pull that off.

um, i hate to tell you this, but no airsoft gun will hit someone between the eyes if that's where you are aiming at from 200 feet away. especially not an M4....barrel is too short (low accuracy), piston/bore is not large enough to move the necessary air to punch your velocity high enough (approx 560 or higher) for that range, and you'd never find a heavy enough bb to travel that distance and keep a straight enough trajectory due to wind or hop.
in conclusion, it is simply not cost effective to try and create an M4 that hits between the eyes at 200 feet. most rifles have trouble pulling off ranges of 160 feet, and AEGs are no exception.

this is true. btw, i think some of us should get either binoculars or a monocular, since the new field is so massively huge.

you're not going to hit anything at 200 feet, i dont care what upgrades you do.
